Although the Polish Aviation Museum in Krakow had already opened its spaces to animal companions, it is now going a step further – and providing constant access to a first aid kit for pets, proving that caring for animals is not a fad, but a permanent change in thinking about joint sightseeing.

Animals also wrote history – often literally
When we think of an aviation museum, propellers, wings and stories of people who flew higher than others come to mind. But it is worth remembering that the pages of aviation history (and not only) are not short of... animals.
Laika – the first dog in space.
Cats – unofficial members of flight and port crews, guarding equipment and morale.
Wojtek the bear – promoted to the rank of corporal, carried ammunition and marched with the soldiers.
Animals have always been with us – during travel, during combat, in moments of breakthrough. Now they can also accompany us when discovering history.
What does the presence of a first aid kit change?
Its presence at the Polish Aviation Museum means that animal carers have additional support in emergency situations – whether it is a minor cut on a paw or the need for a quick dressing.
Visiting with your pet – responsibly and with class
The possibility of visiting the museum with a dog or cat is great news, but it is worth remembering that the comfort and safety of all visitors – both two- and four-legged – are equally important.
If you are planning a visit:
• keep your pet on a leash or in a carrier,
• always clean up after your pet,
• watch out for exhibits and do not allow your pet to touch them,
• respect the privacy of other visitors
Visiting together is not only a pleasure, but also a responsibility. Thanks to it, such open initiatives can develop and last.
